Primary knee

The Restricted Knee Arthroplasty System is indicated for:

- Osteoarthritis;
- Severe inflammatory degenerative diseases;
- Intra-articular osteoporotic fractures of the femoral shaft and proximal tibia;
- Neoplastic conditions around the knee unsuitable for other types of implants;
- Degenerative, rheumatoid or post-traumatic arthritis;
- Post-traumatic loss of the configuration and function of the knee joint;
- Failure of the first implant prosthesis (for example: infection, instability, lack of fixation in the case of a non-cemented prosthesis, wear of components, mobilization, etc.);
- Correction of malposition in varus, valgus or flexion;

The function of the Restricted Knee Arthroplasty System is to replace the tibial and femoral surface, the objective of which is to reconstruct the damaged parts of this region, with the aim of reducing pain, correcting deformities and/or instabilities, improving function in degenerative knee diseases, and restoring patients' quality of life.
The selection criteria for the size of the implant to be used will depend on the condition of the bone and the technique to be adopted to carry out the procedure. These conditions are the responsibility of the doctor who evaluates the patient and decides which implant should be used.
